Details

The Omnipod 5 Automated Insulin Delivery (AID) System uses the same Pod for both the G6 and G7 Dexcom sensors. The compatibility is noted on the upper right corner of the Pod box and the Pod tray lid.
Omnipod 5 DexG7G6 Pods Gen 5: These are the current Pods and are compatible with both Dexcom G6 and Dexcom G7 systems. No changes to your current Pod prescription are needed if you switch between G6 and G7.
Older Omnipod 5 Pods: Original Pods may only be compatible with the Dexcom G6, so it is important to check the box for the G7/G6 compatibility indicator.
Prescription Required: Omnipod 5 Pods are medical devices and require a valid prescription from a healthcare provider. They are available through pharmacies.
Other Compatibility: The Omnipod 5 system is also compatible with the FreeStyle Libre 2 Plus sensor. The system works with U-100 insulins such as NovoLog®, Humalog®, and Admelog®.
